Conceptualist sculptor Christoff Koon is a native Californian who
has lived and worked in the U.S., Italy, and Germany. He is
self-educated in the arts and apprenticed under both Italo Scanga
and Helen and Newton Harrison in the early ‘90s.
Christoff
works in most materials that can be sculpted and has received
numerous awards such as the 2004 Guinness World Record for
designing and fabricating the world’s largest popcorn machine for
the Discovery Channel Show, “The Big Show.” He also received the
2004 Guinness World Record for designing and fabricating the
world’s largest blender for the Discovery Channel Show, “The Big
Show, the 1992 Silver Award in the Kristallnacht Project, an
American Interfaith Institute in New York, and the 1991 first
place sculpture award in the San Diego Sculpture Competition.
Christoff
currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
