Carolyn
Ward Billington is a fine art designer, illustrator, and
photographer specializing in a multitude of visual themes, as well
as styles in her multimedia interpretations.
With her
degree in Fine Art and her U.C.L.A. degree in Design as well as
her Postgraduate work in Education, Carolyn believes that learning
is a lifetime experience and lives by “Art is social! Let’s talk!”
Carolyn
specializes in watercolor and gouache, yet is comfortable working
in a variety of mediums: acrylic, pen & ink, colored pencil,
graphite, monoprinting and multimedia construction collage with
diverse assemblage.
Travel
and exposure to cultures, climates, transportation, nationalities,
politics and economics, is the key to interpreting design layouts
and color schemes that visually tell real stories about real
people and real places. The camera is a crucial tool to document
travel experiences.
Carolyn’s
work history has included public art, professional competition,
personal and commercial commission work, and art instruction. Her
interest and proficiency in art styles and themes are limitless.
