Greg
Adamson's day job is currently Regional Vice President of the
Inland Empire Commercial Banking Group, Union Bank.
But art is
truly his passion. His art background stems from a lifelong love
for art and artistic expression. He enrolled in a few art classes
in school, but opted for an education and career that offered
economic stability. Move forward 20 years to approximately 5
years ago when his children were nearing adulthood and he was
finally able to allow himself to again pursue his passion for
creative expression.
His current
medium of choice is watercolor. Over the past five years he has
studied with some outstanding and perhaps legendary
artist/teachers, including Milford Zornes, Henry Fukuhara, Skip
Lawrence, Frank Webb, Christopher Schink Tom Lynch, and Gerald
Brommer. Local Riverside master, Don O'Neill, AWS has also been a
good friend and mentor to Greg.
Greg also
began participating in Italian street painting festivals about 3
and a half years ago. He doesn't regularly work in chalk, except
when doing one of these events. To date he has done more than 20
of them with a typical project size of 10 ft. by 12 ft. He enjoys
the opportunity to create original works on a very large scale.
He also likes to recreate works of the masters such as Raphael and
Michelangelo which provides a valuable learning experience. Greg
has been the featured artist in several street painting events and
has been interviewed for television news segments on at least
three occasions.
