| Traveler was my first successful special and showed his promise early by going Best in Sweepstakes and Reserve Winners Dog at the 1986 national Specialty. His sister CH The Centennial Celebration, Philly, was Best Opposite in Sweeps that year. He went on to many group placements with a dream come true of a breeder owner handled Group 1. He had 5 supported entry wins with the last at the age nearly 7 at the Somerset Hills show in New Jersey. He has been bred 8 times and has produced 18 champions (46% of his get). He also has produced obedience and field titled dogs. Sadly Trav was neutered in 1996 due to a prostatic abcess and did great for 3 more years. Trav also received his C.D. and C.G.C. Specialing a dog forges a special bond and he was so attuned to me and I to him. Even at the age of 14 he would wander by with a stolen t-shirt or even a shoe, and even ate an occasional sock! So once a naughty Welsh always a naughty Welsh. |
